Sri Anbil Ramaswamy hails from Thiru Anbil, one of the 108 Divyadesams consecrated by Azhwars. Sri Anbil Ramaswamy studied Hindu sacred scriptures under Srimad Andavan of Poundarikapuram Ashramam (who also did his Bharanyasam), 45th Jeer of Ahobila Mutt (in his Poorvaasramam - for over 15 years), Sri Bhaashyam from Puirsai Sri Krishnamachariar aka Purisai Swami, Anushtana Granthas from SriSrivatsankachariar Swami besides many of other Acharyas and Scholars. He has visited all the 106 Divya Desams and a number of other Kshetrams.He retired as a Senior Audit Officer of the Government of India in 1983.

During service, he published several books for guidance of departmental examinees, most of which serve as reference manuals even today.Then, he moved on to USA and from there he is propagating Bhagavath Ramanuja Siddhantam. Sri Anbil Ramaswamy came to USA with the mandate of the above Yathivaras and Acharyas to spread of our Siddhantam among those interested…Every year he organizes and / or participates in Religious Conferences besides delivering lectures on invitation from Universities and temples. He writes articles in various Internet lists in USA and in almost all Religious journals in India. He was nominated as a Vice- President of the Celebrations Committees of 151st and 181st anniversaries of Poundarikapuram and Tirpput-kuzhi Swamis in 1997and in 2003. Sri Anbil Ramaswamy founded Swami Desika Darsana Satsangam (SDDS) and its Electronic journal "Sri Ranga Sri' (SRS) on Swami Desika’s Thirunakshatram days in 1996 and 2000 respectively. The membership has risen today to about 5200 from all over the world (from all regions and all religions) and the list is growing!
